Reported earlier this week, Chinese team wNv missed out on the Extreme Masters III Global Finals, due to a denied visa for Liu "Savage" Bin. The team to replace wNv has now been found – Evil Geniuses will fill in. With a very short timeframe, ESL has found a replacement for wNv. At first, fingers were pointed at third place at the Continental Finals Asia, the Singaporean team TitaNs. Why the teams is not the one being invited is not announced, but take in consideration, that the team would need to fix visa in less than a week, it could be one of the factors. Evil Geniuses from United States of America will however be able to enter Germany and attend the Extreme Masters III Global Finals. Alex Garfield, Executive Director of Evil Geniuses states: "We're ready to play, we're grateful for the opportunity, and we plan to make the most of it. Since the inception of our new lineup the team has been practicing tirelessly - and as of late, especially, the players have really been looking forward to the year's LAN events. So this was a pleasant surprise for us, to say the least." Evil Geniuses consist of following five:
Evil geniuses will join, Made in Brazil, x3o, Gravitas Gaming and WeMade FOX, who all have qualified for the Extreme Masters III Global Finals. Seven European teams will join these five teams and make sure to follow us, starting from Tuesday next week. |
